Our family has accumulated several folders of song sketches. A few tracks were generated, but nobody recorded which exports were kept. I want future listeners to know which file is the untouched source. Any experimental processing would go into a separate folder with a short note. Is a dated filename enough, or would you also maintain a separate version list? I have seen the terminology ai audio artifact removal in this context. I do not want that phrase to imply that a copy is free of every unwanted sound. Recording the exact section and the settings would make later comparisons easier. The archive will include a short explanation of where each demo came from, who supplied it, and whether the copy was exported again or changed after the original file was received. I would appreciate a simple naming convention that someone else could follow years later.
